Camping
From camping with family to camping “in the rough”, The Riverview Farm offers a broad range of camping options. Located a short distance away from both the Pisgah National Forest and the Dupont State Forest, these two pristine locations provide camping grounds of all sort, sizes and accommodations.
As The Riverview Farm develops, camping ground facilities are being planned, across our pristine grounds and alongside the French Broad River, which will provide a truly bucolic experience for our resident campers.

Hiking
The Riverview Farm is within a short distance from two of the most sought-after outdoor destinations: The Pisgah National Forest and the DuPont State Forest. Both areas feature numerous hiking trails offering different levels of difficulty. The well-known Ecusta Trail is also located nearby the Farm.
Hiking in either location provides an amazing experience, surrounded by beautiful nature. Trails are well-marked but we recommend that hikers consult first a map as the trail network is quite extensive. Families, casual strollers and advanced hikers alike will always find the perfect trail for their chosen activity.
Kayaking
That visitors are inclined to kayak over the gentle current of a river or to challenge their skills through more technical rapids, locations for kayaking abound in the immediate vicinity of The Riverview Farm, starting with the French Broad River, alongside our farmlands.
If you wish to go kayaking, but do not own your own kayak, there are many equipment rental retail stores that are located around popular kayaking areas. Either way, be sure to get informed about the available put-in areas, where you can safely put your kayak on the water.
Cycling
Road cycling or mountain biking, the area surrounding The Riverview Farm possesses the best locations for either activity. Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Forest offer a broad choice of mountain bike trails, from beginner to advanced. Lets not forget that the Asheville area has become a mountain biking mecca.
If road cycling is the goal, the Blue Ridge Parkway will represent a challenging yet exhilarating road trip unrivaled by any. The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the most scenic road in the US. The entire area is full of winding, climbing secondary roads, lined with forestry and scenic views.
Fly Fishing
Blessed with an abundance of rocky streams, lakes and flowing rivers, The Riverview Farm’s surroundings are a heaven for fly fishing enthusiasts. That you are trying fly flishing for the first time or are a seasoned sportsman, you’ll be hardly pressed to find more perfect locations.
Our surrounding water areas represent a true community with nature and its elements while offering great fly fishing opportunities like few other. Please be mindful of North Carolina’s fishing rules in regard to catch and release.
